Two weeks ago, Rhett Ervin Dudley decided he was ready to come out!! On the morning of Sunday, December 4th, I woke up at 3 a.m. having in the worst pain.  Of course, Tyler and Ranger were sound asleep and snoring.  I woke Tyler up and we began timing the contractions.  They were about 3 or 4 minutes apart and Tyler decided, at 5 a.m., that we should head to the hospital.  We got to the hospital and they monitored me and checked on me for about 2 hours and then sent us home because I was not progressing.  We went home and I took a shower and a nap.  When I woke up from my nap, I knew something was not right.  I couldn't even stand up I was in so much pain.  Tyler said, "Get in the car!"  I proceeded to argue with him because I was not going back unless this was really it.  Finally, he practically had to push me in the car and we were on our way back to the hospital.  This time we got there and I had progressed to 3cm and they admitted me.  They gave me an epidural about an hour later and I LOVED it!! HAHA  Rhett finally arrived at 6:23p.m.  He weighed 7lbs140z and was 19in long.  Here are some pics of the cutest boy I have ever seen!!! I love him so much!!!

Eviction Notice Coming Soon!!

Today, I am 34 weeks.  I know it sounds awful but I am not one of those people who is "loving" being pregnant right now!!! I am so ready for Rhett  to be here and to not be pregnant anymore!!!  Pretty soon I am going to give Rhett an eviction notice!!! My class just keeps growing and so does my belly!! I feel like it gets bigger everyday!  Which to Tyler and I seems crazy because we didn't think I could get any bigger! Apparently, I can!

This week I have been getting more and more excited and ready for Rhett's arrival!  I have been getting things ready and have even bought a couple things that Rhett (I) just couldn't live without!!!

8 Weeks and Counting! AHH



Today, I am 31 weeks!  Every day and every week gets more exciting and more nerve racking at the same time.  I cannot wait to meet my precious boy, but I also feel like I could use a little more time to prepare.  We had our last ultrasound on Tuesday and once again the little toot was uncooperative!!  I keep saying that scares me because it seemslike he is acting an awful lot like his father!!! The ultrasound tech. kept trying to get a 4-D picture of his cute little face and he was just not having it!  He had his "chubby," as the tech. called it, arm up next to his face!!! Finally, he put it down for one picture! The tech. told us that he weighs 4lbs!!

This week,  my bedding was finished and I got to go pick it up on Monday!!  I was so excited to see how it had turned out and could not wait to get it home and put it on the crib! Little did I know a massive dirt storm was going to trap me in Lubbock.  I literally had to pull over and wait until I could see the road to drive home. I also called Tyler crying and upset because I was stuck in the "haboob" all alone.  I hardly ever go anywhere by myself because I just don't like to do things by myself and Monday I was not a happy camper when I got trapped!! Growing UP and Growing Out!

This past week has been one of the craziest weeks of my life!  I am not going to go into details about the crazy, but if you know my family you know what has been going on.  Needless to say, I have been very neglectful of the blog. 

Besides the craziness that occurred, last Friday was homecoming.  Linzi finally worked up the courage and asked my dad if she could go with her "boyfriend."  I use that term very loosely because they are 12!! The gist of their relationship is texting and awkwardly avoiding each other in the hall! LOL Anyways, my dad said yes and Linzi had a date!  His name is Adam West! BATMAN!  He seems very nice but it seems too crazy to me that Linzi is at the age where she has a boyfriend!!!  Here are a few pictures from the night!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the doctor.  When I was there, she scheduled to induce me on December 19!  Tyler just wanted Rhett to come when he comes but I definitely felt a little less overwhelmed when I knew an actual date!  I am so excited for him to get here and I cannot wait to hold my precious boy!!! Today I am exactly 29 weeks!!  Only about 10 weeks and Rhett will be here!!! YAY!!!

Our Early Additions to the Dudley Household!

This week, we received three new additions to our family!  Scout finally had her puppies!! I knew it would be soon because she had been very clingy and whiny for the past couple of days.  Plus, she looked like an over-inflated football!!  Wednesday night, Tyler and I went to church at seven.  When we got home, we opened the back door to let the dogs in and there was Scout, looking a lot skinnier, and a tiny puppy.  This was the third of three and the first two were not survivors.  We quickly got her and the pup in a laundry basket and brought them inside.  Because scout is so tiny, we thought she was probably done, but we were very WRONG!  I literally walked into the kitchen and back to the bedroom and she had already had another and one more was on its way.  She ended up having five puppies in all and three teeny tiny survivors.  They are so cute and Scout has been a great mommy so far!!! Football! Football! Football! And New Friends!

Last Sunday, Tyler and I started teaching the 4 and 5 year olds at church!  I was really excited but Tyler was a little scared until he made new friend!  I know Tyler seems a bit old to be "making new friends" but he really did.  Her name is Carrigan and she is 4 years old!  She is the cutest thing and she just adores Tyler!  Tyler is so impressed with how smart she is!! I told him that is why she likes him! She is smarter than he is! HAHA  The past two Friday night football games, Tyler and Carrigan have spent the whole time watching and talking about football!! I am impressed with how great he is with her and know that Rhett is going to be blessed with a  GREAT Daddy!

Also, this week was my cousin Jeffrey's first 7th grade football game!! I was so excited and a little sad because he and Linzi are growing up so fast!  Jeffrey had a couple of good hits and his team won the game!!  Linzi and Jeffrey have been in school with each other since kindergarten.  They are like best friends and I am so glad that they have remained close all these years!! After the game, Linzi ran to Jeffrey to tell him good job and he picked her up and gave her a huge hug! I had to have a pic!!  I love that boy!! Here are some pics of him and Linzi and Him and I!
