Our Early Additions to the Dudley Household!

This week, we received three new additions to our family!  Scout finally had her puppies!! I knew it would be soon because she had been very clingy and whiny for the past couple of days.  Plus, she looked like an over-inflated football!!  Wednesday night, Tyler and I went to church at seven.  When we got home, we opened the back door to let the dogs in and there was Scout, looking a lot skinnier, and a tiny puppy.  This was the third of three and the first two were not survivors.  We quickly got her and the pup in a laundry basket and brought them inside.  Because scout is so tiny, we thought she was probably done, but we were very WRONG!  I literally walked into the kitchen and back to the bedroom and she had already had another and one more was on its way.  She ended up having five puppies in all and three teeny tiny survivors.  They are so cute and Scout has been a great mommy so far!!! Football! Football! Football! And New Friends!

Last Sunday, Tyler and I started teaching the 4 and 5 year olds at church!  I was really excited but Tyler was a little scared until he made new friend!  I know Tyler seems a bit old to be "making new friends" but he really did.  Her name is Carrigan and she is 4 years old!  She is the cutest thing and she just adores Tyler!  Tyler is so impressed with how smart she is!! I told him that is why she likes him! She is smarter than he is! HAHA  The past two Friday night football games, Tyler and Carrigan have spent the whole time watching and talking about football!! I am impressed with how great he is with her and know that Rhett is going to be blessed with a  GREAT Daddy!

Also, this week was my cousin Jeffrey's first 7th grade football game!! I was so excited and a little sad because he and Linzi are growing up so fast!  Jeffrey had a couple of good hits and his team won the game!!  Linzi and Jeffrey have been in school with each other since kindergarten.  They are like best friends and I am so glad that they have remained close all these years!! After the game, Linzi ran to Jeffrey to tell him good job and he picked her up and gave her a huge hug! I had to have a pic!!  I love that boy!! Here are some pics of him and Linzi and Him and I!

My Big-Headed Baby!

This week I had a sonogram on Monday.  Tyler met me there and we were super excited to see our growing Boy!  After waiting like an hour to get in to the room, we finally got to see him!! The sonogram technician kept moving over different parts of his body and measuring and labeling things.  When she got to his head she said, " Oh! He has a big head!"  What do you say to that?  She kept measuring and labeling and also pointed out that he also has long arms!!  At this time, he weighs 1.7lbs which is a little more than what most babies at this stage weigh.  She showed us the page with all his measurements and in most of the areas, he is in the 90th percentile!! Tyler is, of course, excited about a large baby! Me, on the other hand, not so much considering he has to come out some way!! LOL The technician said that if he grows to his head he will be 8-9lbs!! YIKES!! But really, I am glad we have a healthy growing baby!!! The whole time she was trying to get a picture of his face for us.  Rhett was just not cooperating!! When we got in the elevator I told Tyler, "Great! He is going to be stubborn and uncooperative like his daddy!!"  I can't wait!! Everyday, I am getting more and more excited for him to be here!! I can't wait to be a mommy and I can't wait for our little family to get a little bigger!!!
